CHRIS BROWN TO STAR IN A NEW DANCE MOVIE?
Wednesday, October 26th, 2011Chris Brown‘s fancy footwork and budding acting skills have just landed him a lead role in a new movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 22-year-old R&B/pop showman has been tapped to star alongside Lost alum Josh Holloway, Laz Alonso, Josh Peck, and Caity Lotz in a new, dance-centric film, titled “Planet B Boy.” The film, directed by Benson Lee, will focus on an international breakdancing battle. A statement from Screen Gems, the studio behind the flick, says Planet B Boy is “about an all-star American b-boy crew training to compete in France at the Battle of the Year (BOTY) International Championships. After a decade of defeat, the crew and their coach must go up against the best and greatest b-boys in the world: the Koreans, the Russians and the French who have dominated the original American dance form for the last 10 years.” The film will shoot both in Los Angeles and Montpellier, France. This, of course, isn’t Brown first venture into film. He’s had roles in movies like Stomp The Yard, This Christmas, and Takers. – Source: Neonlimelight.com
